Why is it that Brits are seemingly intelligent people with good taste are drawn to sports such as Football (the sport referred to in the US a soccer)? There has go to be something in US culture that is different than UK culture in regards to how sports are marketed or how its values are instilled in its people. Maybe it is a stronger sense of nationality that does not exist in the US. Anyone care to elaborate?
